Oggi un post con tante immagini e una
domanda. Ecco cosa ho voluto realizzare in questi
giorni, complice un leggero freschetto
pomeridiano, un tavolino messo fuori in balcone,
e la compagnia di Nadia che studiava un pò.
Era da tempo che pensavo di cucire una
Raggedy Ann. Malgrado la somiglianza ad altre
migliaia di Raggedy, è un modello assolutamente
personale.
Per la primissima volta, ho pensato di riempire
la testa di capelli, non la solita strisciolina che
dal centro della testa, va a cadere ai lati
(poi legati a codina).
La mia è proprio una ricciolona fronte e retro.
Vestito lungo, grembiule e calzoncini con coulisse, ed un bel fioccone in testa.

Un blush marroncino per invecchiare un
pò il colore della stoffa, mentre lei sembra
perfettamente a suo agio.
Ecco come nasce una bambola,
partendo dal cartamodello sulla stoffa,
passando per l'imbottitura e oltre.
Volevo chiedere una cosa a chi cuce:
è capitato spesso di chiedere ad altre hobbiste
come valutassero i propri lavori.
Voglio chiederlo ancora una volta,
prendendo come spunto la mia bambola.
MATERIALE:
tessuto per corpo/scarpe/calze/
pantaloncino/colletto;
tessuto per vestito/grembiule (Americano);
ovatta;
lana per capelli (gomitolo intero);
pizzo per pantaloni e gonna/bottoni/
colori per il tessuto;
MANODOPERA:
quasi 2 ore e mezza per cucire i capelli;
due ore tra taglio modello/cucito/imbottitura
/disegno viso/trucco.
Qui sotto i colori usati e...tanto caffè.
Quella che segue è la foto iniziale del lavoro,
dove si può notare che i tessuti son diversi,
proprio per mostrare che anche realizzare una
"stupida bambola", comporta scelte.
Inizialmente avevo scelto altro materiale.
Ho cucito l'abitino col il tessuto bordeaux,
ma una volta fatto indossare alla Raggedy,
non mi ha soddisfatta.
Per cui son passata al tessuto delle foto sopra.

Il colletto è stato invecchiato
"cuocendolo" in padella.
Avevo l'abitudine di invecchiare i tessuti
utilizzando intrugli con caffè/te/cannella;
poi son passata al forno, e da qui direttamente
ad una padella che tengo appositamente
per l'invecchiamento.
Vi assicuro che è molto più pratico e veloce.
Basta solo stare attente a non far bruciare
(letteralmente) il tessuto.
Detto questo...considerando materiale e
manodopera, che prezzo dareste voi ad una
bambola del genere, alta ben 60 cm?
